Who founded Marleybones?

Marleybones was founded by Josephine Bager and Mikala Skov. Josephine started it after struggling to find a food that suited her fussy, sensitive-stomached cocker spaniel, Marley, and didn’t need a freezer.

Why is it called Marleybones?

It’s named after Marley, Josephine’s golden cocker spaniel. He’s the fussy eater who inspired the whole thing.

Is Marleybones vet-backed?

Yes. Every recipe is formulated with our PhD veterinary nutritionist and is complete and balanced to FEDIAF guidelines, so it can be fed as your dog’s only food.

What is Pantry Fresh®?

Pantry Fresh® is our way of making fresh dog food: real ingredients sealed raw in a carton and gently steam-cooked at around 89°C, so it keeps in the cupboard with no preservatives and no freezer.

It started with me.

Hi, I’m Marley. Golden cocker spaniel, professional taste-tester and occasional napper.

Some call me fussy. I prefer the term four-legged connoisseur.

Take kibble. Would you want to eat the same boring brown balls every day? Didn’t think so. Besides, my sensitive stomach would never agree with it either.

Fresh frozen food was much more to my taste. My humans, however, weren’t quite as keen with a freezer full of dog food.

So they set out to create something that worked for all of us.
