• What exactly is in each Marleybones recipe?

• How should I store the food? Does it need a fridge or freezer?

  Marleybones is Pantry Fresh® - meals can be kept in your cupboard, no fridge or freezer space required. Once opened, a carton stays fresh in the fridge for 48 hours. No defrosting, no planning ahead, and no preservatives.

• Is quinoa a grain? Is it safe for dogs?

  Quinoa is technically a seed from a leafy plant related to spinach and beetroot, not a grain - which is why our meals are grain-free despite including it. It's a well-tolerated, easily digestible source of fibre and plant protein.

• Does Marleybones dog food contain buckwheat?

  No. None of our recipes have ever contained buckwheat. We use quinoa (3%) as our grain-free base ingredient instead, and every full ingredient list is published on its product page.

• Are the meals nutritionally complete? How are they cooked?

  Yes - every recipe is a complete meal formulated to meet your dog's daily nutritional requirements, developed with pet care professionals, including a veterinary nutritionist (DVM, PhD). Ingredients are sealed raw into cartons and gently steam-cooked inside them, eliminating harmful bacteria while preserving nutrients and flavour - never high-temperature processed like kibble or traditional cans. All made in the UK with zero preservatives.

• I'm switching from another dog food brand - how do I do it safely?

  We recommend transitioning gradually: mix a small amount of Marleybones into your dog's current food and increase the ratio each day until it's a full switch. This avoids stomach upset from a sudden diet change. If you're switching from a fresh-frozen brand, our cartons work the same way at mealtime - just without the defrosting. • How does delivery work and what does it cost?

  Deliveries arrive next day. Recurring subscription orders over £50 get free express delivery, and boxes arrive every 4 weeks by default - however, this is adjustable to your dog's pace.

• Has Marleybones ever changed a recipe or issued a recall?

  No. Our recipes and ingredient sourcing have stayed consistent, and we have never issued a recall. If that were ever to change for any reason, we'd tell you directly by email and update this page first.

• Can I pause, skip or cancel my subscription?

  Yes - you manage everything from your account: skip a delivery, change your delivery date, update your address or payment details, or cancel. No phone calls required. If you get stuck, Customer Care can make any change for you.
